The Australian Longitudinal Study on Women's Health was founded on the 22nd of April, 1996.
It's aim was to gather scientific data, investigate all aspects of women's health and wellbeing, and drive major health policies.
A collaboration of the universities of Queensland and Newcastle, the study now tracks more than 57-thousand women across Australia.
Some of its key findings include revealing the true extent of endometriosis, and the mental and physiological impacts of domestic violence.
Over the past decade, the study has expanded to include children.
