Frankston-born quad wheelchair tennis player Heath Davidson has received special recognition from Frankston City Council following another strong Australian Open campaign, as the sport marks its 50th year.
Davidson and doubles partner Andy Lapthorne reached the quad wheelchair doubles final at the Australian Open, where they were defeated by Guy Sasson and Niels Vink.
Davidson also progressed to the singles quarterfinals.
A Paralympic gold medallist and OAM recipient, Davidson is widely recognised as both an elite athlete and a leading advocate for accessibility and inclusion in sport.
