The Queensland government has responded to the reforms saying there will be significant disadvantage as a result.

The state has not yet signed up to the Commonwealth Thriving Kids Scheme which will cater to some children who will leave the NDIS and be covered by the states.

CEO and founder of Autism Association Australia Nicole Rogerson says the key concerns revolve around the process of standardised eligibility testing, the impact of provider registration and reduced community participation funding.
